Ordering Terms and Conditions

Due to the nature of our products we DO NOT accept returns or process refunds. 

Ingredients & allergies

We use fresh ingredients and we bake from scratch. Ingredients can include flour, sugar, eggs, butter, milk, fruits and nuts; and are made in an environment that handles nuts, soya and alcohol. Nut free and alcohol free cakes can be made on request but we cannot guarantee that these cakes will not contain trace amounts of these ingredients due to the nature of production. LuvCravings accepts no liability for customers suffering from allergic reactions from eating our cakes. It is the customers’ responsibility to make LuvCravings aware of any special dietary requirements for their cakes; we will try our best to accommodate these requests.

We also offer a selection of gluten free items. Please kindly note that our gluten free products are made in the same vicinity as our other non-gluten free goods. While we do take extra care and precaution to make sure there is no cross contamination, due to the fact that flour can become airborne, we cannot guarantee our items to be 100% gluten free. Consumption of our gluten free items is at the individual’s discretion. LuvCravings will not be held liable for any harm to individuals due to accidental cross contamination of gluten in our gluten free goods.

At this time we do not guarantee 100% gluten free, dairy free or sugar free products and are not a certified kosher establishment.

Design allowances for Custom Order

For all custom orders; the interpretation of customers’ bespoke requirements and amends to our design are presented to customers and approved during the ordering process; written descriptions and in some cases a diagram or sketch may be used to explain what the customer will receive.

 Although we make every effort to translate the design of the cake prior to production and communicate that to our customers, those are all 2D representation. When a design is made into a final product, there may need to be some minor changes and alterations. LuvCravings reserve the right to make last minute changes/addition/color changes to the design of the cake as we see fit. In the case a major change is needed, we will make every effort to notify the customers prior to changes being made. Any changes are made in effort to improve the outcome of the final product. By placing an order; customers agrees that there may be a slight discrepancies in projected outcome and final outcome of the product.    


Decorations used on the cakes are made with sugar paste or sugar unless otherwise stated. For certain items that need more support, structural items such as wooden toothpicks, wires, etc may be used inside, these types of decorations are not meant for consumption. While sugar decorations are edible and food safe, they are not meant to be consumed as they may be quite hard from the production process. Many topper items such as animal/people figurines or flowers may be preserved as a souvenir. As long as it is displayed in a cool, dry, ventilated place, away from direct/harsh lighting (prevents the color from fading too fast), these sculpted sugar art pieces can last a few months.

We offer the option of dying the sugar paste with a more permanent coloring to avoid color fading, if you have optioned to have this done, please note that the toppers are not meant for consumption, they contain non-edible coloring.

Color Matching

LuvCravings will do its best to match any color request for icing and fondant. However we cannot guarantee a 100% color match, as food coloring translates differently than regular ink. If a specific color is needed, please provide a color swatch. We aim for a perfect match of the swatch provided but that is not always possible. If you do not provide a sample color, we will tint the buttercream or fondant to the best of our judgment.   

Equipment Rental Deposit

All cake/cupcake stand rental and equipment requires cash deposit. The deposit will be refunded when equipment is returned to us damage free. If damage occurs to equipment, deposit is forfeited to replace damaged equipment.


We do not use fresh flowers on our cake due to complication with fresh flower. Flowers that are used for food service must be food safe (ie. pesticide free), in addition some flowers are harmful and secrete poisonous sap. If you choose to add flowers on to the cake post delivery/pickup, please understand that you do so at your own risk and LuvCravings cannot be held responsible for harm that occurs to the cake or the guests.

 Custom Orders Payment, Refund, and Cancellations

The form of payment we currently accept is cash or debit payable at our store.

 For all custom orders we require a 50% deposit when you place the order.  The remaining balance is due at the time of pickup. In case of cancellation for custom ord ers, deposit is refundable if cancelled 14 days prior to pick-up/due date. Cancellation should be submitted in writing, or via email to [email protected]

Wedding cakes Payment, Refund and Cancellations

For all wedding cake orders, we require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure the order. Balance payment must be made 30 days prior to wedding/delivery/pickup day.  In the case that balance payment is not received before the payment due date, the order will not be made. In case of cancellation, a written cancellation request needs to be submitted in writing, or via email to [email protected]

If order is placed less than 30 days prior to cake pick up/due date, full payment is required at the time of order confirmation.

Rush orders for all custom orders

Please note that all custom *orders placed less than 2 weeks prior to the pickup date or all wedding cakes placed less than 60 days prior to wedding date, is considered a rush order. As production time is tightened, our designers & bakers may have to work overtime to complete the order, rush orders are subject to extra charges.

* An order is considered placed/confirmed/secure when LuvCravings receives the deposit along with the signed invoice by the customer acknowledging details of the order. The communication time during which the customer and our cake designer finalizes the design can take anywhere from 2-7 days, this takes place prior to confirmation and should occur outside of the two weeks notice.

 Changes to Custom /Wedding Cakes

Minor changes may still be made up to 7 days prior to the pickup date for custom cakes and up to 30 days prior for wedding cakes. Please understand that changes will have to be reviewed and not all changes are possible due to the limited amount of time. Changes may also result in additional charges for the cake; customers will be asked to approve of the charges before any changes will be made.

Wedding Cake Delivery & Assembly

Wedding cakes may require set-up and assembly at the event location.  We are not responsible for decorating the cake table at your event.  Delivery and assembly charges will be included in the quote for wedding cakes if needed.

LuvCravings is not responsible for the condition of products after set up at an outdoor or indoor venue/event. Due to the effects of outdoor weather condition, table on uneven ground, wind factor, heat, humidity and other undesirable environment (ie dirt, leaves, branches, sunlight), insects and other wild life; effects of indoor events such as lack of air conditioning and or sunlight causing cakes to melt, sweat, air bubble etc. Products such as icing, frosting, filling, fondant, cake decorations etc. may not hold up in improper conditions pass satisfactory delivery and set up. LuvCravings delivery team will take pictures once the cake set up is completed as record that your cake was delivered and set up properly, in addition you or a representative will be asked to sign and receive the cake. It is not our responsibility once cake is set up if something happens to your order (venue staff moves your cake, staff bumps in to cake table etc)

Pick- up, transportation and storage of your cake/order


At the time you receive your cake, please make sure that all names are spelled correctly and we have included all the details you have requested. We will not be liable to any damages done to your cake once you have left the premise. You will be asked to acknowledge and sign a cake release form.




Cakes should be transported on a flat surface away from direct sunlight and heat source. From experience we find that the floor of the driver side seat or the back seat provides a nice flat surface. In addition the design of the area provides barriers to prevent the cake from sliding or tipping over. Alternatively the back trunk is also a good place, but additional precaution should be taken to prevent the cake from sliding or tipping over during the drive.


All buttercream cakes should be refrigerated until 1 hour prior to serving.

Fondant covered cakes can be stored in a cool dry place for 2 days during the winter months when the temperatures are lower. During the summer months or warmer temperatures, cakes should be kept refrigerated if they are not served the same day of pick up.

Toppers and more fragile decorations should be removed prior to refrigeration due to the condensation and moisture from the fridge.

**Damages & Unforeseen Circumstances

We take every precaution to make sure your cake is passed to your hands smoothly. Customers are asked to be aware that some designs (eg. Standing structures such as trees and figurines, fragile items such as flowers, stacked cakes etc) are more structurally sensitive then others and improper handling can lead to damages.

Please make sure that your order is to your satisfaction before your leave our facility.  We make sure our cakes are sent off securely and in proper condition.  We will not be liable for any damages done to your cake once you have left our facility.  However, feel free to call us to see if there is anything we can do to help as we may be able to offer some assistance.

LuvCravings cannot be held liable for any delay damages or failure to delivery due to unforeseen circumstances (ie. natural emergency, power outage, accidents etc) which are out of LuvCravings control. Please also note that heat and humidity can affect the cake, LuvCravings cannot be held liable for any damages due to weather conditions.

In any circumstances, LuvCravings’ obligation is limited to refund up to the amount paid/value of the cake.
